Trading for the iShares MSCI USA ESG Select ETF, represented by the ticker symbol SUSA, has attracted significant attention due to an unprecedented surge in trading volume this Thursday afternoon. With over 1.4 million shares exchanged compared to a three month average volume of about 393,000, the ETF has ignited curiosity among market participants. Despite this notable increase in trading activity, shares of SUSA experienced a slight decline of about 0.4% for the day.

Fueled by a series of individual components, the ETF witnessed a whirlwind of trading on Thursday. Notable contributors to the high trading volume included Tesla, with over 75.9 million shares changing hands and experiencing a decrease of about 2.9% in value. Advanced Micro Devices also added to the fervor with a trading volume exceeding 44.2 million shares and a 1% decline. Amidst the chaos, Marvell Technology emerged as the standout performer of the day, reaching higher by approximately 3.1%. Conversely, Biogen struggled, trailing behind other components of the iShares MSCI USA ESG Select ETF, and recording a 3.1% decrease in trading value.
