Unusually Active Trading in the IWX ETF
Trading in the iShares Russell Top 200 Value ETF, ticker symbol IWX, showed remarkable activity on Monday afternoon. An astounding 468,000 shares exchanged hands, a stark contrast to the usual three-month average of about 117,000. This surge in volume coincided with a modest upward movement of 0.5% in the value of IWX shares for the day.
Among the key constituents of this ETF, two standout performers captured the market’s attention. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) recorded an impressive uptick of 1.2% as more than 23.2 million shares were traded during the day. In contrast, Intel (INTC) experienced a slight decline of 1.4% with a trading volume exceeding 22.4 million shares. Boeing emerged as the star performer, soaring 3% in value. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Solventum struggled, showing a 1.9% drop in value, trailing behind other components of the iShares Russell Top 200 Value ETF.
