Teledyne Technologies, Inc.’s TDY business unit, Teledyne FLIR Defense, recently secured a $20.8 million contract to provide its Star SAFIRE 380-HLD multi-spectral imaging systems. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force has awarded this contract.

Over the next three years, Teledyne is set to deliver 10 Star SAFIRE 380-HLD systems as part of this agreement. One spare unit and two systems have already been shipped to JMSDF for evaluation and testing.
