In the ecstatic hustle and bustle of early Friday trading, Diamondback Energy emerges as the day’s star performer within the Nasdaq 100 index, boasting a robust 1.4% surge. Year to date, the stock has recorded an impressive 36.2% climb, a beacon of hope amidst the turbulent market seas.

On the other end of the spectrum, Advanced Micro Devices takes a sharp dive, with shares plummeting by 4.1% – securing its position as the day’s worst performing Nasdaq 100 component. Yet, amid the tumultuous swings, Advanced Micro Devices has managed to uphold a respectable 10.9% gain for the year to date.

Not to be overshadowed, two other components are making waves in today’s trading landscape. PDD Holdings struggles, down 3.9%, while Biogen remains in the green with a modest 0.7% uptick for the day.
