The Royal Collaboration: Netflix and Harry & Meghan’s Series Duo

Written By Michael Gary Scott

Netflix NFLX has embarked on an enthralling partnership with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to bring forth two captivating nonfiction series. Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions will spearhead the production of both shows. Currently in their nascent stages, the titles and release dates of these series will soon be unveiled in the upcoming months.

Heading the first series is Meghan, who will elevate the essence of cooking, gardening, entertainment, and camaraderie. Co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, the show will be helmed by Leah Hariton and directed by Michael Steed, with Meghan taking on the role of one of the executive producers through Archewell Productions.

The second series is set to shine a spotlight on professional polo, a sport that holds a special place in Harry’s heart. It will showcase top-tier players along with a glimpse into the social scene revolving around the sport. Co-produced by Boardwalk Pictures, the show will be led by showrunner Miloš Balač, while Harry and Meghan will serve as executive producers.

These innovative projects form part of the comprehensive agreement the couple struck with Netflix back in 2020. Prior to this, they have rolled out three docuseries, namely, Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, and Live to Lead, in collaboration with the streaming giant. Additionally, they harbor other endeavors in the pipeline, such as Meghan’s lifestyle brand based in Montecito, California – American Riviera Orchard, and an upcoming Netflix film adaptation of the novel Meet Me at the Lake.

Shares of this Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) company have yielded a robust return of 29.1% year to date, starkly outperforming the Zacks Consumer Discretionary sector’s decline of 0.7%. This monumental achievement can be ascribed to the resounding success of Netflix’s original content.
