U.S. stocks traded higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 50 points on Friday.

Shares of World Acceptance Corporation WRLD soared following upbeat quarterly results.

World Acceptance posted quarterly earnings of $2.84 per share, surpassing market estimates of $1.88 per share. The company’s quarterly sales came in at $137.75 million versus expectations of $130.58 million.

World Acceptance shares surged 10.2% to $134.00 on Friday.
